How to Play CS2 Workshop Maps with Friends

According to the official Counter-Strike Workshop FAQ, subscribing to a Workshop map automatically downloads it and adds it to the Workshop tab in the in-game map browser.

Play a Workshop map with friends

1. Subscribe to the desired Workshop map.
2. Start a Play With Friends lobby.
3. Invite your friends.
4. Select the subscribed map.
5. Set the lobby permissions to Private Match.
6. Start the local server.

The FAQ states that invited players' game clients will download the selected map automatically, allowing everyone to play together on the local server.

Steam also identifies maps in the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop as ready-to-use items and says a subscribed map will be available when Counter-Strike 2 starts.
