CS2 Overwatch: how the community review system works
Counter-Strike 2 features a community-driven cheat-review system called Overwatch. When a player's gameplay is flagged as suspicious by the automated system, a short POV clip is saved and added to the Overwatch pool for community review.
How it works:
- Players rate flagged clips as Cheater Yes or Cheater No
- Each reviewer gets 3 free reviews per 24 hours (10 with Premium)
- The player's name is hidden during review so the vote is based on gameplay alone
- After voting, the community split and system sus score are revealed
- Votes are labeled examples that train the cheat-detection AI over time
Why it matters:
- Community votes create a labeled dataset of what real cheating looks like in CS2 demos
- This trains the AI to spot cheaters more accurately across the platform
- Your individual vote helps improve detection for the entire community
