CS2 Vertigo callouts: the 36 names on the map, what each one means, and the order to learn them in

Vertigo is a bomb defusal map set close to the top of a skyscraper that is still under construction. Both A Site and B Site sit on the top floor, and unlike most other maps it is possible to fall off it, with no chance of surviving the drop. Total CS keeps an interactive map and a searchable table for the map, and the page says the callouts are the same, or very similar, in CS2 and CS:GO.

The table is described as holding all 41 callouts for the map, but five names are listed twice, which leaves 36 distinct callouts. The repeats are Stairs, Ladder, Scaffold, A Ramp and Sand Bags.

T Spawn and the stairs
  • T Spawn: the area of the map where the Terrorist side spawns. It has Stairs, Toilets and a quick route towards Bridge.
  • Stairs: the set of stairs placed in T Spawn, giving Ts access to Generator and to the second level of the map.
  • Toilets: the pair of toilets placed in T Spawn. They are an interactive element and can be used to hide players and weapons from enemies.
  • Generator: part of the raised region in T Spawn, giving Ts access to T Mid.
  • T Stairs: the stairs Ts use when they are looking to access T Mid.
Mid, T Mid and the ladder
  • Mid: the large middle area of the map. It gives access to CT Spawn, to B Site through Connector, and to A Site through Elevator.
  • T Mid: the area of Mid closest to T Spawn. It is the route Ts typically use when taking Mid.
  • Iron: the collection of metal rods placed between Mid and T Mid.
  • Ladder: the ladder that gives players access to T Mid from near Underpass. It is one of the quickest ways to change floors on the map.
  • Boost: the set of crates and pallets towards T Mid. Ts can boost teammates up to this spot to get a better view of Mid.
The B side: Underpass, Bridge and B Site
  • B Stairs: the stairs that connect T Spawn to B Site. They are one of the main entrances for Ts taking the B Site.
  • Under Stairs: the area under B Stairs, which can be used to view the underside of Catwalk.
  • Underpass: the narrow corridor that connects Bridge towards B Stairs. It is a useful route for Ts rotating from one bombsite entrance to the other.
  • Save Spot: the corner placed between Bridge and Underpass. It earned its name by being a common spot for players to save their weapons on rounds they are unlikely to win.
  • Bridge: the path connecting the area next to Save Spot to A Ramp. Players can throw weapons off Bridge to stop enemies from picking them up.
  • Big Box: the large wooden crate placed between A Ramp and Bridge. It is useful cover for Ts checking A Ramp for CTs.
  • Dark: the small region between A Ramp and Big Box that has lower light levels.
  • Catwalk: the platform that extends out from the main building and connects to Back B and B Stairs. Players can be shot from below if an enemy is playing from Under Stairs.
  • Back B: the corner of B Site that connects to Catwalk. It has a tall metal post that can be used as cover.
  • B Site: the region between Electric Box, Catwalk and Back B. This is where the bomb can be planted on B.
  • Electric Box: the large rectangular box placed between CT Spawn and B Site. It is a useful spot for cover when retaking B Site.
CT Spawn, Connector and the A side
  • CT Spawn: the area of the map where the Counter-Terrorist side spawns. It gives CTs quick access to Top Mid, Electric Box and Heaven.
  • Connector: this spot connects Mid towards B Site and CT Spawn. Its raised platform gives a useful view towards B Site.
  • Headshot: the small area between Top Mid and Connector. The name comes from the fact that when peeking from this angle only the player's head is visible.
  • Top Mid: the portion of mid closest to CT Spawn. This is the area CTs typically use to stop Ts pushing Connector and Elevator.
  • Elevator: the space that connects A Site to Top Mid and Door.
  • Door: the narrow space that connects Elevator to CT Spawn and Heaven.
  • Heaven: the connecting space between A Site and CT Spawn. It has both a raised platform and a doorway for CTs to use when defending A Site.
A Ramp, Scaffold and A Site
  • A Ramp: the large open slope offering access to A Site for Ts pushing from Bridge. It is often used by Ts to rush on eco or pistol rounds.
  • Sheets: the small cubby next to A Ramp containing sheets of building material.
  • Fence: the raised area next to Ramp and opposite A Site. CTs can use it to get a quick view of Dark and to spot A Site pushes early on.
  • Sand Bags: the pair of sandbag crates on the corner between Fence and A Site. A hidden CT can ambush Ts pushing A Ramp from here.
  • Scaffold: connects to Lane and is one of the routes Ts can take when entering A Site from Bridge.
  • Lane: the narrow pathway that connects Scaffold to A Short.
  • Double: the set of orange crates placed next to A Site. It can be used as a headglitch position for CTs holding A Short.
  • A Site: the entire region between A Short, A Ramp and Double. This is where the bomb can be planted on A.
