Where CS2 Workshop Maps Go and How to Find Them

When you subscribe to a Counter-Strike 2 Workshop map, Steam automatically downloads it and adds it to the Workshop tab in CS2's in-game map browser.

Subscribe to a map

1. Open the Counter-Strike 2 Steam Workshop.
2. Find content under the Maps tab.
3. Open the map's detail page and select Subscribe.

Maps listed under the Maps tab are ready for immediate use. Steam normally makes a subscribed map available when you start CS2, without requiring manual file handling.

You can also subscribe through the Steam Overlay while CS2 is running.

Find the map in CS2

Launch CS2, open the in-game map browser, and select the Workshop tab. The official Workshop FAQ states that subscribed maps are added there automatically.

Maps and Items are different

The Workshop's Maps and Items tabs serve different purposes:

• Maps contains content ready for immediate use after you subscribe.
• Items contains curated submissions that are not immediately usable in CS2. The developers decide which submissions to add to the game.

If you want a playable Workshop map, subscribe to an entry under Maps, then find it under Workshop in CS2's map browser.
