CS2 Support Destinations: Steam, AlliedModders, and CounterStrikeSharp

Post by ice »

Steam Community, AlliedModders, and CounterStrikeSharp provide support channels with different stated scopes.

Steam Community

The official Counter-Strike 2 General Discussions board allows signed-in users to start discussions and provides a search tool for finding older topics.

AlliedModders

The AlliedModders forums list Source Servers (SRCDS) under Server Discussion. The board is described as covering the operation of SRCDS servers, making it the most directly relevant listed destination for SRCDS operational questions.

CounterStrikeSharp

The CounterStrikeSharp repository describes the project as a server-side modding framework for Counter-Strike 2. It directs questions and suggestions to its Discord community and provides an issue tracker for raising project issues.

CounterStrikeSharp’s getting-started guide states that the framework uses Metamod:Source as its main way of communicating with the game server. CounterStrikeSharp and Metamod:Source therefore refer to distinct components rather than interchangeable names.
